[DEPIN] STARPOWER | Installation and Troubleshooting of StarPower Plug

 

1.  Installation

Connect the Star Plug to an outlet.

 

Once connected, you will see it blink rapidly as shown below.

(Status: Ready for registration)

 

2. Running the App

Next, launch the app.

If you don’t have the app, download and install it.

As of July 12th, the latest version is 1.7.1. Make sure to update if you have an older version.

 

 

3. Adding the Plug

To add the plug, press the Device menu as shown below.

 

Then press the "+" button at the top to start registration.

 

 

Press "Next" and wait for the plug to be found.

Once the plug is found, you will see a list of Wi-Fi networks. Select the Wi-Fi network

you want to use and enter the password to connect.

 

 

 

After going through the Verify and Bind steps, finally select your location

and press "Claim" to complete the process

 

 

 

4. Installation Complete

 

If registered correctly, you will see the following screen.

 

 

5. Troubleshooting

Q: Mining isn’t starting!

A: Mining will start once 3,000 plugs have been registered on the smart contractor.

 

Q: The plug’s LED isn’t blinking?

A: Try pressing the button while connecting it to the outlet.

 

Q: Can’t find the device identifier during the Verify step.

A: Based on experience, try placing your smartphone close to the plug.

 

 

Q: Cannot connect the plug and get a "Bluetooth Failed" error during the connection step.

A: On an Android phone, kill the app and restart it to connect properly.
